Nikos Kapralos is a photographer and photography educator. He studied at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica, and continued with postgraduate studies at the same university in the “Photography: Research and Methodology” program. He has worked in the field of production and post-production for advertising films and television series, with experience as an assistant production director and as a junior colorist. At the same time, he has been active as a photographer in the area of social and political photojournalism. His involvement in teaching includes photography courses and hands-on workshops, with an emphasis on digital image processing, portfolio creation, and the development of personal photographic projects. He has taught at private and public higher education institutions and has designed and implemented specialized workshops on alternative photographic techniques, such as cyanotype. In his artistic work, he has experimented with analog photography, alternative printing techniques, and instant photography, focusing on the process and methodology of the image. His works have been presented in group and solo exhibitions in Athens and Thessaloniki, while his photographs and texts have been published in books and magazine editions.
